PARTS MANAGER

Brewer South Freeport Marine is seeking a full‑time Parts Manager to join our team. We’re a full‑service boatyard and marina in South Freeport, offering summer slips, service work, boat storage inside and out, and the winterization/commissioning of about 200 boats each season.

The Parts Manager oversees the daily operations of a parts department, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate ordering, and excellent customer service. This role supports technicians and customers by maintaining the right parts at the right time while controlling costs and optimizing workflow. The Parts Manager plays an important role in keeping our operation running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

• Daily and seasonal parts ordering and receiving
• Assist technicians with part identification and problem‑solving
• Work directly with vendors
• Enter parts into our system and onto customer invoices
• Maintain and organize the parts room
• Manage inventory, including year‑end counts

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of marine systems and parts is a plus
• Customer Service Skills
• Proficiency with inventory software and basic computer skills
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Ability to troubleshoot and source hard‑to‑find components

BOAT DETAILER

Brewer South Freeport Marine, located in beautiful South Freeport, provides a highly professional work environment with state‑of‑the‑art facilities, including 20,000 SF of heated inside storage and clean, modern shops. We’re right on the water with boat slips and moorings.

Previous experience in marine or automotive detailing is preferred, but we are willing to train a candidate with a strong work ethic.

Boat detailing consists of washing and cleaning, buffing and polishing, and the use of compounds, cleaners, and wax on hulls, cabin tops, metals, center consoles, hatches, lockers, and more. Work also includes gelcoat restoration, polishing painted surfaces, detailing non‑skid, interior cleaning, and engine space cleaning.

When not detailing, we will train you to assist with hauling, power washing, boat moving, covering, and shrink‑wrapping.

MECHANIC

Brewer South Freeport Marine in South Freeport is looking for experienced mechanics or mechanics that want to further their knowledge in the trade. We are dealers for Yanmar, Yamaha outboards, Honda outboards, Westerbeke and Nanni, Beta marine and many other systems. Our techs are ABYC certified and attend service schools annually.

Some job duties include winterizing, commissioning, troubleshooting systems, basic knowledge of 12V and 110V, installations, diesel, and gas engines. Ability to test run boats and diagnostics a plus.

We are on the water in South Freeport, Maine. Deep water slips and moorings, we store 200+ boats from 55’ to dinghies. Well maintained equipment that includes 50-ton and 35-ton travel lifts, 2 hydraulic trailers, 19-ton crane and a full machine shop.
